Back to the Beginning: How this newfangled journey began

T’was Febuary 2007… or there abouts I was sitting down to hot cup of tea and crumpets (what are crumpets exactly anyways) when I came across an article in Macleans called “A pony and a prayer” (http://www.macleans.ca/article.jsp?content=20060814_132055_132055)

The article was about a woman named Barbara Kingscote who in 1949 when she was 20 rode from Quebec to BC… because why not? Well that and her family friends were moving there and they couldn’t afford to ship
